Innovative technology for seamless service

Hotel Red & Green, located in Närpiö and part of the G-Hotels Group, is the leading provider of accommodation and restaurant services in the area. For over a decade, the hotel has been utilizing the Winpos POS system in conjunction with Planet’s (formerly Hoist) PMS HotSoft hotel reservation system. Through its experiences, the hotel has actively contributed to the development of the Winpos Hospitality POS solution.  

In the spring of 2024, Red & Green participated as a pilot customer for Winpos when the new payment terminal integration with Planet was implemented. The goal of this collaboration was to create a seamless, centralized solution for hotel guests through well-functioning integrations.

Hotel owner Cisse Grönholm explains that the Winpos-PMS HotSoft integration has greatly improved collaboration between the hotel and restaurant. – Restaurant bills can be directly transferred to the room, and reporting and tracking can be done centrally. This saves time and reduces human errors.

The experiences with the new Planet payment terminal integration have also been very positive. The terminals have proven to be reliable, and the connection with Winpos is seamless. Additionally, the Winpos mobile POS, used at Red & Green, works directly with Planet’s terminals, allowing staff to take orders directly at the table.

-We also appreciate that the devices are modern and user-friendly for customers. Plus, the Planet DCC service (Dynamic Currency Conversion) allows hotel guests to pay in their own currency, says Grönholm. – Planet’s payment terminal system opens many new possibilities when integrated with the PMS system. Both the staff and the customers have been pleased with how smoothly everything runs. When technology works seamlessly in the background, we can focus on what matters – providing great service, says Grönholm, adding: – I highly recommend this solution. We especially appreciate the system’s clarity, speed, and the fact that it’s easy to teach new employees how to use it. The key features for us are table ordering capabilities, integrated payment processing, and reporting. We have been especially pleased with how well the system integrates with other systems we use, such as Planet’s PMS HotSoft and the payment terminals.
